What it is
As a certified Li-FT® Technician and Trainer with Girlz Ink, I use this advanced saline removal method to safely lighten and remove unwanted permanent makeup and small tattoos. Li-FT® is a non-acid, saline-based solution. It offers a gentle alternative to lasers and harsh chemical treatments while effectively lifting unwanted pigment from the skin.
This treatment is one of my most requested correction services for clients who have had previous PMU work done elsewhere and are unhappy with the color, shape, placement, or overall result. It is commonly used to fade old eyebrow tattoos, correct migrated pigment, and lighten permanent makeup before a new procedure can be performed. This service works with all colors of ink, including pigments like yellow and red that are found in tattoos.
During the healing process, a scab will form and naturally shed within a 7–14 day period. Each session helps lighten the tattoo further; multiple treatments may be recommended depending on the client's case. The goal is to fade the unwanted pigmented area enough to either create a clean canvas for corrective PMU services or remove the tattoo ink.

The process
What happens on the day
Plan on about 1.5 hours from arrival to walkout. We start by mapping the lift area and reviewing the saturation pattern from any prior sessions. Topical numbing is applied throughout. The Li-FT® saline solution is opened into the skin with a fine needle — uncomfortable but tolerable. The site scabs over 7–10 days; the scab takes pigment with it as it sheds, which is how the lift works. You leave with explicit aftercare for the scab (no picking, keep it dry) and a date for the next session, typically 8 weeks out.
